WHEN TIMING IS WONDERFUL

It's as simple as this.

Belief conquers disbelief every time.

It may be a tough road when you first get started, however, if you can do the work and start conditioning yourself, you will start to view life differently.

In order to see something good you have to believe there is goodness to be seen.

LEARNING TO RECEIVE

Did you know that the average person is not good at receiving?

We are really good givers for the most part but many people have great difficulty in being the receiver of good things. blessings or gifts that are bestowed on them.

Today is Good Friday.  A day I observe as the ultimate sacrifice and gift of love.   It is a reminder to me to take time to reflect, be quiet and gift thanks for those things in my life that I may neglect and not give enough attention to.

It is also a reminder to me that my spiritual walk is so important, and if grounded in my faith and my beliefs, I can hold firm and steadfast through the more challenging moments that life brings.

Finally, it is a reminder that in having a solid foundation and a strong belief and in taking the time to be still and to learn to trust, that I will receive more than I could ever imagine.  No, it is not always about money but receiving more peace, contentment, joy, focus, clarity, purpose...well, in my opinion, those are priceless.

Thankful for love, caring and a deep knowing of the Father's love today.

WHY ARE YOU IN THE SHADOWS?

Are you just waiting for the day that you get your chance to shine?

Do you just keep waiting in the wings?  Waiting for the curtain to open and to be able to walk centre stage and take your moment?  A defining moment for me happened years ago when a friend of mine was bold enough to ask me if I was ready to take centre stage of my life.

WOW!  For some reason the timing of that and the challenge that went with it, had me thinking and reflecting for weeks.   During this period, I realized all of the dreams I had were in fact possible but it was my own shyness and insecurities that were holding me back and nothing else.

So.. I decided to step out of my own self built shadows and find the thing that makes me shine and take centre stage of my life.  Since that time, I have no trouble taking risks and scouting out opportunities to learn, grow and make a difference.  I have had wins and losses along the way but I know that I will never stop trying to find the light and live fully.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Dedicated to those that are struggling with life.

Sometimes knowing that you are not alone is 90% of the battle.  Believing with others and spending time with them during their time of need may not seem much to you but may mean the world to the person receiving it.

THOSE SERENDIPITOUS MOMENTS

Do you ever have those times where you worry about finances, work, health only to find out that in the end it was nothing to worry about anyway?

Or wondering how it is all going to work out and then it all seemingly does?

There are miracles that happen all around us.  Those things that just pop up and are serendipitous. Those things you can't really explain but you are sure happy that they just "showed up".

There are many miracles that happen and learning to see and understand that they are not always big.  It is a series of little things that happen along the way that once you start noticing, you will live a life with more gratitude and peace.

Trusting in the miracle of life can be an adventure. Are you up for it?

HELPING OTHERS SOAR TO NEW HEIGHTS

When you take time to care about others, with no personal agenda but with a posture of love only, it is amazing the impact you can have on the lives of others.  

One of the most recognizable quotes from the bible is from 1st Corinthians.       It summarizes what an act of pure love looks like.

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

What are you giving up on that you should be pressing through?  

Are you taking offence to things that have nothing to do with you or if they do, can you take the high road and be the bigger person? 

Showing love comes in many different forms.  Do not be self serving but rather use the gift of love to be of encouragement and of good will to others. 

It will change your life as much as it will change another.

THE PROCESS OF WRESTLING

Trying to make decisions and find clarity often results in a time of wrestling. You know what I mean. Those sleepless nights where your brain is on overdrive spinning between trust and worry. Those days where you need to come to a decision about something but have no peace on either side of the equation.

The process of wrestling is a spiritual one. It is digging into the depths of your heart and your soul and to learn to truly listen to that inner voice, in the stillness; and when you feel it and know what decision you need to make, it is being obedient to what you feel and following through with your decision.

"Be still and know that I am God". This one line always comes to me after a period of wrestling. It is when peace washes over and I find the solution to my problem.

May you find peace on the other side of your time of wrestling. It is there waiting. Take the time to be still and listen.

With Valentine's Day coming up and thinking about the idea of love, one of the best movies to showcase what love is about is Pay It Forward. If you haven't watched it, I highly recommend it. It is not only inspiring but calls each one of us to do good in the world by reaching out to others.

HAVING HIGH HOPES

When I was a kid, there was a song we sang about a little old ant thinking he could move a rubber tree plant.

Not unlike the picture below of the fish jumping bowls, sometimes we feel we are too small or not good enough to get to the other side of our big dream or vision.

You know what? I say this is the best place to be.

This is where adventures are built, where dreams come true and where lasting memories are made.

I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

Yesterday it was bitter cold out and driving with my colleague downtown, we stopped to help an elderly women who was walking with a cane on an icy street. We ended up what was supposed to be a simple drive to her destination, being an ear to a sad woman whose tear stained face was replaced with smiles and a belief that there are people who still care. 

Never stop believing that you can make a difference ... and when you do, it feels really good. Have a great day!
