WATCH FOR BLESSINGS

I believe the small things matter.

Often times we fail to see the goodness that happens in any given day. The little things that go in our favour, the phone call or message that arrives out of the blue.  Maybe it's the bright sunshine bouncing off the water or the misty morning walking.

Find even the small things to be thankful for and you will start to appreciate the bigger things all the more.  When you choose to find gratefulness on a daily basis, it will change your life.  It will make you happier and more tolerant of those moments that stretch you and challenge you so that you can take it more in stride.

NO MOVEMENT = NO GROWTH

Do you feel in a rut?  Stuck in a place in life where everything seems unfair and not going your way?

The power of choice can be just the catalyst you need to build new momentum.

More often than not, our inability to move forward is due to the inability to make a decision.  Do you feel like you are thrust in the land of indecision right now? That place where it feels like you are completely polarized and at a full stop, uncertain on what the right decision should be.  And thus, the perpetual circle of ineffectiveness sets in. Plus, the swirling emotional pull of your confidence going down the drain.

Movement starts when you make the move.  It could quite simply just mean making a small decision to get you started.  If it feels overwhelming just choose something within your control to show you that you are in fact moving forward.

Success may seem like it happens overnight but it usually takes diligence, consistency and focus and there is always a new path to follow.

CHOOSE YOUR FOCUS

There are people out there that seem all too positive about life. Do you know the ones I mean?

I believe it is because they have learned one of the secrets to powering their life with positivity, motivation and joy.

Making conscious choices every day of where to put your focus on starts to turn the tide of negativity and despair and replace it with the most interesting of experiences.  Even the inside of this flower would be something that most people would miss, however, someone who is intentional about seeing and experiencing their everyday would pick up the beauty and the hues of colour that are present in the moment.

What are you missing by racing through each day?  Change your focus and watch what happens.

You might just find it interesting in the most positive kind of way.

BEING FULFILLED

So often we can get caught up with what other people have that we may not have.   We start slipping down the rabbit hole of envy, jealousy and downright anger that what we think we deserve we don't have.

Have you ever considered that success is a state of mind first?

It is born within and is realized externally but by far the largest impact is the belief that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.

I truly believe that achieving a place of fulfillment and peace is the key to living life fully.  To do this, why not consider being grateful for what you do have. (right now at this moment!)

Look around. I guarantee that you are probably more wealthy (monetarily and materially) than the majority of the population of the world.

Learning to be thankful in everything is an amazing way to turn the tide to a more positive view of yourself and your life.  I have known many a person racing at such a fast pace of life (myself included once upon a time)  trying to chase the proverbial dream and becoming busier and busier, when all along you had the opportunity for real authentic happiness right in front of you.. or should I say inside of you.

Food for thought....

BECAUSE OF YOU

I have done a lot of things throughout my life.  From professional theatre, to broadcasting, to marriage, to motherhood, to teaching kayaking and canoeing, to entrepreneurship, to rappelling and hiking through deep caves and the list of thousands of things goes on...

Experiences have solicited feelings of fulfilment, excitement, pride, meaning, purpose and pure joy.  The other side of this is that I have also had experiences where I have disappointed people and myself, I have mourned the loss of those I care about and never had a enough time and been frustrated at things not coming together.  I have failed at entrepreneurship and have let people down.   Living life fully means you have both sides of this coin to experience.

Deep in my heart I choose to make a difference.

My purpose is to help people love and appreciate life, their work and their communities but I know that I have to be anchored into that same vision as well, in order to be authentically true and impactful.

Are you trying to make an impact in your world?  Are you walking the talk and living the best that you can?  Start by keeping yourself inspired.   When you have the "spark", others see it and feel it and want that too.  Live life fully!  That is best gift to you and to others.

AGAINST ALL ODDS

I am always so inspired by people who show resiliency to life's curveballs.

The one's who overcome struggles and come out the other side stronger, wiser and with understanding and empathy to help others.

It is not the problem that influences but rather how you handle the problem that inspires.

A LESSON ON ATTITUDE

"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life".

Attitude to me, is more important than the facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, that what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company....a church... a home.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot chance our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude.....

I am convinced that life is 10% what happense to me and 90% how I react to it". This is an old post by Charcles Swindoll that I really like.

Do you agree with these thoughts? Happy Friday!
